SANDBAR BISTRO
We are very thankful to Sandbar Bistro coming on board with our Wine & Dine 2017. A brand new Restaurant on Marine drive.

Decided to check out the new kids on the block down while I was down in White Rock. I'd heard about Sandbar Bistro from some friends who went there during Taste White Rock and said that the food was great and boy they weren't kidding.
Started the meal with the venison carpaccio and was blown away with how good it was. It didn't have the same gamey taste that I usually associate with venison and was melt in your mouth tender.
Next I went with the rack of lamb and it was perfectly cooked. It had a great herb and mustard crust that had me picking crumbs off my plate to get one last taste.
Finished off with the chocolate mint brûlée that had that perfect crack when I broke through the top into the super creamy custard.
As for the service, I have no complaints. The waiter was attentive and was super knowledgeable about the dishes.
I liked the decor. I had been here years ago when it was an Irish pub and the update looked modern and quite nice.
