Eight Teams Participate in the 2013 Pat Dooley Annual Memorial Youth Golf Tournament
The 2013 tournament had great support from the secondary schools in Surrey with 8 teams taking part. The top team was from Earl Marriot with a team score of 65. They were awarded the Pat Dooley Memorial Cup (shown in photo above).
Top individual players were:
Kevin Richardson with a low net of 60.
Edward Metcalf with a low gross of 68.
Top coaches were:
Kevin DeBoice, Panorama Ridge Secondary principal, with a low net of 71
Murray McLeod, Semiahmoo Secondary vice-principal with a low gross of 81.
Patrick Dooley, a young man in our local community, died tragically of complications of the flu on Feb 5th, 2008. He was an aspiring golfer, athlete and top academic student at Elgin Park Secondary who would have graduated from Grade 12 in June 2009. The Semiahmoo Rotary Club, along with his family and friends, honour Pat and his impact on others in our community each year.
