Natalie Angell-Besseling presented an intriguing story of how she and her husband started USHANTI, a Birthing Centre in rural Uganda to help women with pre-natal and post-natal care and a safe place to give birth.
After seven years the centre has a 100% safety record. The secret is creating a supportive, community-based care team and modern facility with training for all.
